With Gratitude Awards
The annual With Gratitude event celebrates Kellogg’s benefactors and recognizes remarkable alumni with three awards: the Wade Fetzer Award for outstanding dedication and loyalty in support of the Kellogg alumni community; the Schaffner Award for exemplifying Kellogg values through significant contributions to society; and the Distinguished Alumni Service Award for effectively leading organizations and strongly representing Kellogg's culture and brand.

Steven G. Booth ’89 MBA, Distinguished Alumni Service Award
We honor Steve's impact on the Milwaukee community through board service at organizations like The Water Council and United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County. As chairman and CEO at Baird Financial Group, Steve exemplifies Kellogg values by emphasizing teamwork, collaboration, service to others and empathy. Furthermore, he cultivates these values in our students through Baird’s career transition internship program, which allows two-year MBA students to experience different areas of the finance world.
Jill M. Garling ’84 MBA, ’04 MS, Schaffner Award
With this award, we recognize Jill's decades-long participation in Chicago civic life as well as her clear passion and commitment to education, human rights and arts initiatives at the local and national level. Her visionary leadership is evident through her work on several boards across the region, including Facing History and Ourselves, the Joffrey Ballet and the Chicago Public Education Fund. Kellogg honors Jill's impact and dedication to her community.
Tarek Elmasry ’94 MBA, Wade Fetzer Award
For more than thirty years, Tarek has provided support and counsel to Northwestern University and Kellogg. We celebrate his commitment not only as a Northwestern Trustee and Kellogg Global Advisory Board member, but also his engagement in the greater community as a host of alumni events worldwide. In his roles at the University and as senior partner at McKinsey & Company, Tarek leads with a generosity and wisdom that embodies the Kellogg spirit.
