Faculty Positions in Finance


Applications are invited for full-time, tenure-track positions, at all ranks, for the 2023/24 academic year (starting September 1, 2023). Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, or a related discipline in hand or expected by employment start date. Candidates should demonstrate strong research skills and an understanding of, and appreciation for a quality academic program at the M.B.A. and Ph.D. levels. Qualified female and minority candidates are particularly invited to apply. Salaries are competitive.

Faculty Positions in Accounting Information & Management


The Kellogg School of Management is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in accounting at the assistant, associate, or full professor levels. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in hand or expected by employment start date. Selection criteria include demonstrated ability or potential for exceptionally high-quality research and teaching, and strong recommendations. .

Applications should include a complete curriculum vita and copies of research papers. Applicants at the assistant professor level should also provide three letters of reference. To ensure full consideration, applications must be received by November 15th, 2022.

Kellogg will host a Junior Faculty Recruiting Conference in January, 2023 for on-campus interviews of potential assistant professor hires.

Faculty Positions in Strategy


Applications are invited for faculty positions in the Strategy Department. The Strategy Department consists of applied microeconomists who actively conduct research to enhance our understanding of the performance of firms, markets, organizations, and economies. The search is open to all ranks. We seek individuals who address real-world phenomena with rigorous microeconomic theory and/or empirical methods and who have research interests in industrial organization, public finance, organizational economics, international, the economics of innovation, or related fields. Salary is competitive. Primary criteria will be excellent recommendations, superior teaching capabilities, and outstanding research potential. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in hand or expected by employment start date. Successful applicants will be expected to do innovative research, participate in the school’s Ph.D. program, and teach required and elective MBA courses.

The MEDS Department includes faculty in pure and applied microeconomic theory and in political economy. We invite applicants in economics and political science, or related fields. Faculty Position in Operations Management


Applications are invited for a faculty position in Operations Management. The search is open to all ranks. A Ph.D. in Operations Management, Business, Engineering or related field must be in hand or expected by employment start date. Research potential, recommendations, and teaching capabilities will be the primary selection criteria. Candidates in all research areas of operations management will be considered, but they must have a thorough knowledge of operations management theory and practice. Successful applicants will be expected to do innovative research in operations management, participate in the school’s Ph.D. program, and teach required and elective MBA courses.

Faculty Position in Management and Organizations

 
The Management and Organizations Department of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions. We are primarily interested in applications at the rank of Assistant Professor, but we will also consider outstanding candidates at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Applicants should demonstrate an interest in topics relevant to management or organizations and provide evidence of outstanding research potential and an ability to enhance the department’s research and teaching portfolio. The department supports diverse approaches to research, grounded in psychology, sociology, organizational behavior and theory, strategic management and computational social science. A PhD or equivalent degree must be in hand or expected by employment start date.

Faculty Position in Marketing

 

Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University has one or more full-time positions open in the Marketing Department at the rank of Assistant Professor or above for academic year 2023-2024. The position requires being responsible for conducting advanced research in chosen areas of expertise and interest; supervising doctoral candidates; teaching basic and advanced courses in marketing at the Master’s Degree level; contributing to the research and teaching of other faculty members. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in marketing or related fields (e.g., economics, management, psychology, sociology, statistics, cognitive sciences, etc.) in hand or expected by employment start date. Selection criteria include potential for (or record of) superior research, adaptability, and creative interests in application to marketing problems, excellent teaching ability, and strong recommendations. Applications should include a complete curriculum vita, copies of research papers and three letters of recommendation. Applicants in the process of completing a doctoral degree should include an approved dissertation proposal or a research paper that represents progress in the dissertation. We will be interviewing remotely the first two weeks in August. To ensure interview consideration applications must be received by July 1, 2022.
