Peter Winn Sr.
Born in Thaton, Myanmar, on Sep. 23, 1924, Peter Winn started attending Northwestern University in October 1949 in Evanston under the Burmese name of Pe Tin Win (which he converted into Peter T. Winn when he became a U.S. citizen in 1986). After receiving a bachelor’s degree in business administration in March 1951, and completing advanced degrees, including a doctorate, in the U.S., he returned to Myanmar in January 1956 and worked for the national government for the next 30 years.1959 — BBA
Pat Ryan
This September, Pat Ryan ’59, ’09 H, received the 2020 Insurance Broking CEO of the Year award at Inside P&C Honors 2021. Pat is founder, chairman and CEO of Chicago-based insurance specialist Ryan Specialty Group. This award is given to an insurance brokerage CEO who inspired excellence across their company. In giving the award, the group cited the recent merger between Ryan Specialty Group and Delray, Florida-based All Risks Ltd., the launch of the Ryan Specialty IPO and his firm’s operational excellence during a challenging year.1980s

Matthew Feldman
Matthew Feldman has been named chairman of the board of managers at Common Securitization Solutions (CSS), a joint venture owned by Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac that enables the issuance of the largest segment of mortgage-backed securities to support liquidity in the nation’s housing finance markets. Feldman previously served as president and CEO of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago and he is a life member of the Kellogg Global Advisory Board.1988 — FT
Scott Ableman
With travel, theater, and baseball all still on hold, Scott Ableman decided against his better judgment to speed up rather than slow down. After volunteering as a Tech for Campaigns marketing project leader in 2020 (helping to elect down-ballot candidates in critical statehouse races), Ableman joined a startup team to launch LevelFields, an AI-based platform that helps individual investors see and forecast the impact of developing events on stock prices. He and wife Debbie are looking forward to having friends and fellow alumni visit them in the Washington, D.C., area as things open up again.

Heather Annaloro
Heather Donnelly Annaloro ’88 (left) and Dena Rodis Prose ’85 (right) gathered together with friends and fellow Kellogg grad Julie Ryan McGue ’84 (center) to celebrate the release of Julie’s memoir, “Twice A Daughter,” a story about searching and fighting for hidden information and what it means to be adopted.

Marta Saltz
Texas-based alumna Mara Saltz reports her hobby as a singer in The Woodlands Show Chorus hit a high note recently. The award-winning, four-part harmony a cappella chorus (pictured) is a regional champion and has also placed in the top 10 in international competition. TWSC created its first virtual performance and choral greeting card in December 2020, inspired by the need to go digital because of the pandemic. Several Kellogg alumni gathered for the first annual Class of ’92 Golf Weekend Extravaganza. The charitable event supported Open Arms, a South Africa-based nonprofit that helps children orphaned by the HIV/AIDS crisis. Dominic Rispoli
Dominic Rispoli has made a career shift and is co-CEO and a large owner of premium e-commerce home furnishings brand, Wisteria. Along with a group of investors, including some Kellogg alumni, he acquired the 20-year heritage brand in late 2020 and relaunched the website in March 2021.1994 — FT

Co-founder Sonal Rinello is thrilled to share news of the launch of Hello Career Guru, a virtual career trainer built by women for women. The Hello Career Guru platform (see hellocareerguru.com) serves up tailored, curated content and resources for each woman’s personalized learning game plan, based on her career profile and our proprietary executive insights. Bouake Fofana
Bouake "Fof" Fofana was appointed as minister of sanitation in the government of Côte d’Ivoire, his home country. Prior to his appointment, he ran the national housing parastatal company SICOGI. While it was in severe financial distress when he took the reins, he transformed it into a profitable company within two years.1998 — FT
Caroline Mendoza Horrigan
Caroline Mendoza Horrigan has enjoyed the last decade of growth as an initial investor in Rice Wrap Foods Corp. based out of Raleigh, North Carolina. Caroline has lent her marketing and branding expertise to this growing, start-up foods manufacturing company over the past decade. Perhaps most gratifying has been the revitalization of Butner, North Carolina, where Rice Wrap has offered employment to many families in need, she reports.1991 — E&W

Cherry Hill, New Jersey-based TD Bank, N.A., announced the election of Mary A. Winston to its board of directors. Mary is a highly experienced executive and corporate board member whose expertise will especially lend itself to TD’s audit and human resources committees.1994 — CERT
Eric Brickman
FutureFuel.io, a student loan repayment platform designed to help borrowers crush their student debt, announced the appointment of Eric Brickman to the role of chief operating officer. In this newly-created executive leadership role, Brickman will oversee the company’s innovation roadmap and global business operations. Reporting to Brickman will be key business functions such as product, research, experience, data science, customer success, operations, digital solutions, engineering, finance and human resources.

Chris Michalak
Chris Michalak has been appointed CEO of Providence, Rhode Island-based Virgin Pulse, a global provider of tech-enabled health and wellbeing services and solutions. With 4,000 clients in more than 190 countries, the company empowers 14 million members to live happier, healthier lives. Prior to joining Virgin Pulse, Michalak served as a senior advisor with McKinsey & Company and as director and CEO of Alight Solutions.

Brigitte Nettesheim
Brigitte Nettesheim has been named vice president of Aetna’s national and enterprise accounts, a role in which she will lead strategy development and management of Aetna’s centralized national accounts business. Nettesheim, who most recently served as president of Aetna’s north central territory, will lead a national and enterprise accounts business with approximately 5.4 million members and $2.2 billion in revenue. She will continue to work across all of CVS Health to bring industry-leading solutions to the nation’s largest employers.2000 — E&W

Sandeep Satish
Sandeep Satish was named to Sports Business Journal’s list, “Power Players: Sports Facility Technology.” Satish, who is vice president of strategy and analytics at E15 Group, was one of 60 individuals from 53 companies chosen for the honor. The selected individuals, made by the editorial staff of Sports Business Journal, represent leaders who are designing, developing and deploying the technology within sports venues that is making an enhanced fan experience possible.

Becca Schlagenhauf (Stull)
Becca Schlagenhauf (Stull) recently joined Chicago-based Baird Capital as vice president on its global private equity team. She will focus on investments within the industrial technology and solutions sector. Schlagenhauf was previously with Northwestern Mutual Capital. She was named an “Up-and-Coming Woman in PE to Know” by McGuireWoods in 2019.

Patrick Firlik recently wrote a book titled, “Define Yourself: A Guide to Identifying Your Life Principles and Creating Your Personal Compass.” The book is a blueprint for identifying and documenting your guiding principles, which will serve as a compass to guide you through life.

Jack Stambaugh has been named vice president and general manager for Brock Grain Systems, a Milford, Indiana-based provider of grain storage and handling systems. Stambaugh previously served as CMO of Brock’s parent company, CTB.

Rodrigo Sierra
Rodrigo Sierra ’08 (NU’96), chief communications officer and senior vice president of the American Medical Association, was named in July to the advisory board of Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHSPH), a leading institution at this critical time for public health and equity. JHSPH searches for leaders in business, industry, and the community with specific interests in the school’s research, education, and professional practice programs to join its advisory board. Board members bring diverse insights and expertise to bear on issues critical to the school’s success.
