In February, Dean and Donald P. Jacobs Chair of Finance Francesca Cornelli joined Kellogg School of Management alumni from the Executive MBA Program and those based in Florida for the inaugural Global Leadership Symposium on the Miami campus. The two-day event showcased the vibrant campus and the critical role it plays in the greater Kellogg community. As the business world becomes increasingly global, events like this demonstrate the strength of the Kellogg network on an international scale.

Symposium attendees heard from dynamic speakers, including Trustee Larry Levy ’66, ’67 MBA, a serial entrepreneur and managing partner of Levy Family Partners; Sergio Rebelo, the MUFG Bank Distinguished Professor of International Finance; and Harry Kraemer ’79 MBA, clinical professor of management & organizations. Each speaker addressed the critical conversations and challenges today’s leaders face. Sessions also included an alumni panel on family enterprises facilitated by José Liberti, the Joseph Jr. and Carole Levy Chair in Entrepreneurship.

In addition to hearing from thought leaders and distinguished alumni, participants caught up with friends and established new connections. For many, this was their first time seeing classmates in a decade or more. Nearly 200 alumni attended, including 27 from countries outside of the United States.

Plans are underway for next year’s Global Leadership Symposium, scheduled for Feb. 9–10, 2024. Kellogg graduates based in Florida and Latin America and all Executive MBA alumni are invited to join us for a weekend of thought-provoking discussion at the Kellogg Miami campus, where the study and practice of global leadership and international business converge.
