Global Electives
Sharpen your global acuity
Our global electives are held around the world, both with the Executive MBA Global Network and in unique destinations across the globe. Through study and immersion in these local markets, you will broaden your global leadership perspective, hone your expertise in specific industries and develop a rich understanding of different markets — an invaluable skillset in a complex, global economy.
With each region offering courses on different topics and industries, you will find an immersive global experience that suits your interests. Germany, for example, is ideal for studying European business and entrepreneurship, while Tel Aviv is best for exploring technology and venture capital. Regardless of your location, you will benefit from a wholly immersive experience as you study international markets up close and in real-time.
As a part of your academic requirements, you will complete one set of global electives, which consists of two courses completed typically within 5–6 days. Your tuition covers accommodations, textbooks, and some meals for one global elective selection. For additional details, see the Financing Your MBA section.
Key benefits of electives
Learn from local experts
Our unique model allows you to learn directly from the source — local faculty with firsthand knowledge about the markets and industries they teach. With expertise developed through experience, they bring an insider perspective to the classroom that is invaluable for executive students.
Build global connections
When you travel and study internationally, you’ll have a variety of opportunities to expand your global connections. Meet with leaders in the local business community, build personal and professional relationships with students in the classroom, and connect with alumni who live or work in the region.
Broaden your perspective
Collaborating and connecting with people from different backgrounds and geographies will significantly broaden your perspective. You’ll look at issues from new angles, reflect on your management approach and see opportunities in a whole new light.
